My lab focuses on understanding how ecological and evolutionary processes interact to maintain biological diversity. We explore how ecological factors affect selection and investigate how sexual selection and sexual conflict influence local adaptation. Additionally, we study the demographic effects of sexual selection and conflict, and their roles in promoting evolutionary rescue and species coexistence. Our work aims to integrate evolutionary biology, community ecology, and conservation biology to uncover the mechanisms that determine species distribution and persistence.
